Iranian students in Wuhan to be repatriated on Tuesday

Tehran (ISNA) – An especial flight will be dispatched to Wuhan in the early hours of Tuesday to repatriate 70 Iranian students, Iran's Health Minister said, adding that no case of Coronavirus has been reported in Iran yet.

Iran's Health Minister, Saeed Namaki said no case of novel Coronavirus has been reported in Iran.

Regarding the suspension of flights between Iran and China, Namaki said, "Chinese nationals in Iran and Iranian citizens in China will be able to go back to their countries, as we can't ban them from going back to their countries".

Pointing to the strategic relations between Iran and China, he said, "We hope the situation turns back to normal soon because Iran and China has strategic ties which we don't want to be hurt. But it doesn't mean we turn a blind eye on our people's health. It is out priority".

Namaki also said that an especial flight accompanied with a specialized five-man team will be dispatched to Wuhan in the early hours of Tuesday to repatriate 70 Iranian students from the city. The crew will also be protected from the virus and the students will spend two weeks in quarantine after arriving in Iran.
