Two terrorist teams arrested by Intelligence Ministry

Tehran, Nov 21, IRNA -- Intelligence officers arrested two terrorist teams in eastern and northwestern border areas in addition to seizure of considerable amount of explosives, weapons and ammunition, Intelligence Ministry said on Saturday.

Deputy Minister for Internal Security said that following a series of intelligence tip-off and anti-terrorism operations by the intelligence officers, a terrorist team was destroyed in eastern border of the country.

The team intended to explode bombs in cross-border line of Rask to Iranshahr by 150 kilograms explosives.

Meanwhile, the intelligence officers arrested the assassins involved in terrorist operations against teachers and employees of registration office in Sistan- Baluchestan province.

He said that a terrorist team, who entered the country for sabotage and terrorist acts were destroyed in northwestern province of west Azerbaijan.

The official added that a remarkable amount of weapons and ammunition were discovered from this counter-revolutionary group.
