FM official: Blacklisting Hezbollah not affecting its strategic role in region

Tehran, July 25, IRNA -- Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Thursday that blacklisting Hezbollah's armed wing by the EU would not affect the strategic role played by Hezbollah in the region.
'Hezbollah is currently in the highest level of its political status and resistance,' Amir-Abdollahian told IRNA.
He added that the EU move has rooted from its misunderstanding about regional developments.
Amir-abdollahian said that Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Hassan Nasrollah is presently considered the 'resistance leader' due to his wisdom and courage in the combat against the Zionist regime.
The Iranian diplomat reiterated Tehran's strong support for the Hezbollah noting that the EU decision has indicated Hezbollah's influential role in the region.
He further underlined that the Zionist regime is experiencing its worst days presently.
