South Korea has claimed that the North is behind last-month cyber attack against a number of government and news media websites.
'North Korea is believed to be behind the attack,' Senior Ministry Official Park Jae-Moon said Tuesday.
The South Korean Ministry of Science and Technology also claimed that the IP address used in the attack matched one used in the earlier hacking attempts by North Korea.
On June 25, the science ministry confirmed a cyber attack against presidential website Blue House, the website for the office for Government Policy Co-ordination and some media servers.
The shutdown came on the 63rd anniversary of the start of the 1950-53 Korean War.
Seoul blamed Pyongyang for the hacking incident, claiming the recent cyber attack was similar to that of March.
This is while Pyongyang has yet to respond to the allegations.
On March 20, three South Korean broadcasters and two banks came under a cyber attack that paralyzed computer networks and ATMs across the country.
According to the Korea Internet Security Agency, computer networks at KBS, MBC and YTN television broadcasters and the Shinhan and Nonghyup banks were "partially or entirely crippled" during the cyber attack.
