MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va. -- A suspicious package containing a white, powdery substance was reported at the Quantico Post Office, Marine Corps Base Quantico at approximately 8:20 a.m.

First responders, explosive ordnance disposal specialists and hazardous material experts responded to the call.

Four people, 2 Marine Corps postal specialists, a civilian postal clerk and a Marine patron were in the building at the time of the discovery. None are exhibiting any exposure symptoms at this time.

At approximately 9:40 a.m. a Fire and Hazmat 4 man entry team entered the post office to conduct initial testing of the substance. Two initial tests of the substance have come back negative.
