Britain's domestic spying agency MI5 has arrested four people for plotting to perpetrate terrorist bombings throughout Britain, local media reported.

The spying agency said the group was plotting to attack a British army base using a remote-controlled toy car packed with explosives which they planned to drive under the security gates.

According to London prosecutors London's Counter Terrorism Command and the MI5 captured the suspects in a joint operation.

Britain's Crown Prosecution Service labeled the four as being 'dangerous and committed terrorists.' The suspects resided in Luton, north of London.

Each man entered a guilty plea last month to planning to commit terrorist acts against the U.K, the reports said.
