Four Men Admit To London Stock Exchange Bomb Plot
February 01, 2012
In Britain, four men described as Islamists have admitted in court to planning to detonate a bomb at the London Stock Exchange in 2010.
Mohammed Chowdhury, Shah Rahman, Gurukanth Desai and Abdul Miah pleaded guilty on February 1 to engaging in conduct in preparation for acts of terrorism.
Five more men have pleaded guilty to other terrorism offenses in connection with the plot, and all nine men are to be sentenced next week.
All the men are British nationals, and authorities say the group consisted of members from various extremist Islamic groups.
The men had originally challenged the charges against them, before changing their pleas.
