Berlin, Aug 30, IRNA -- One man was killed and two were wounded Tuesday in a shooting incident outside a mosque in the Danish capital Copenhagen, according to the Danish newspaper Copenhagen Post.
The victim was said to be 21 years old and believed to be of Pakistani origin.
Two other men are also reported to have been injured in the shooting which took place as scores of people were leaving the mosque in Copenhagen's Vesterbro district after Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
Police linked the shooting outside the mosque to a conflict among young men in the Pakistani community.
According to reports and eyewitness accounts, a scuffle between two groups of young men broke out as the congregation of about 1,000 people left the building.
As many as 20 shots are believed to have been fired in the incident.
It is uncertain how many people were involved in the exchange, but police are searching for a heavyset man in his 30s and apparently of Pakistani background who was seen standing over the victim during the shooting.
The man is said to have fled the scene in a green van.
