Mihmanparast: Saudis not yet taken any action to identify Laden's daughter

Tehran, Dec 26, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said here Saturday that Saudi Arabia has not yet taken any action in connection with identity of the daughter of al-Qaeda leader, Bin Laden.

Speaking to IRNA, Mehmanparast said, “As Manouchehr Mottaki, Foreign Minister of Iran, told the IRIB channel two earlier, Saudi Arabia’s Embassy has claimed presence of Bin Laden’s daughter in there but her identity has not yet been revealed to Iranian foreign ministry officials.”

He said that he had also told Press TV ( Iranian English TV news channel) that according to Iranian border sources, no such a person has yet crossed borders into Iran. “So, the person (Bin Laden’s daughter) might have crossed illegally,” he added.

He went on to say that Saudi Embassy had, in a letter to Iran's Bureau of Aliens and Foreign Immigrant Affairs (BAFIA), claimed Bin Laden’s daughter was in Saudi Embassy, announcing that since she had crossed illegally into the country, there is no passing documents.
