Swine flu toll across India reaches 655

New Delhi, Dec 10, IRNA -- With the four more persons died due to swine flu in India, nationwide toll in the pandemic reaches 655.

Two deaths were reported from Rajasthan while two were reported from Delhi and Maharashtra.

Meanwhile 277 fresh cases reported nationwide, with Delhi at the top of the list, Health Ministry said, adding, out of the figure, the national capital topped the list with 116 cases, followed by Chhattisgarh (26) and Tamil Nadu (23). With the fresh cases, the total number of those contaminated by the virus has touched 20,590.

Of the 277 cases reported during the day, four have a history of foreign travels while the rest are indigenous.

So far, samples of 93,569 people have been tested for swine flu in government laboratories and a few private laboratories across the country 22 per cent of which have been found positive.
