IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

New Delhi, April 14, IRNA -- India's Army Chief General Depak Kapoor Tuesday said that the women terrorists from the other side of the LoC may try to infiltrate into India.

Talking to reporters in New Delhi on the sidelines of a function, the Army chief said, "Indian forces are alert to foil any attack by terrorists from across the border."

He said there are reports that infiltration may increase during elections.

General Kapoor said that women terrorists from the other side of the LoC may try to infiltrate into India, adding that a three-tier security system is place at LoC to foil any infiltration bid.

On the issue of infiltration of Taliban in India, Kapoor said, "As far as the Indian Army is concerned, we have had no trace of Taliban."

The Army chief said the force would continue to 'neutralize' elements trying to disturb peace and security in the country.

"Whether it is LeT, JeM or HUJI militant or Taliban, whosoever tries to disturb peace and stability of the region, he will be dealt with in the same fashion and will be neutralized," he said.
