New Delhi, Sept 27, IRNA
At least four persons were killed and several others injured when a blast rocked a flower market in South Delhi's Mehrauli area on Saturday afternoon.
Police sources said that the explosions were low-intensity blasts.
Reports also said that an abandoned container has also been found in the area. Police and fire engines have been rushed to the spot and are conducting searches. A bomb disposal squad was also on the site.
The market has been closed and the blast site cordoned off.
The blasts shook doors and windows of the houses and shops in the area. According to eyewitnesses, two people came on a scooter and left behind a tiffin box.
The injured have meanwhile been rushed to AIIMS' trauma centre.
Eyewitnesses are confirming that the dead include at least two children.
The blasts took place exactly two weeks after five serial blasts rocked the city, killing 30 people and injuring over 200.
The mastermind of that terror attack was gunned down in an encounter with police few days after the blasts, while several others involved in the plot have been arrested.
