Delhi encounter: 2 terrorists killed, one arrested, 2 managed to escape

Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with Delhi Police in Jamia Nagar locality of south Delhi Friday.
One terrorist has been arrested and two others managed to escape during the operation which lasted for around four hours.
Acting on specific information, the Delhi police stormed the four storied house in the area which led to heavy exchange of fire.
Two Delhi Police personnel including one Sub-Inspector were also injured in the encounter, the Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police Karnal Singh told reporters.
Police assisted by National Security Guards is keeping a close watch as some more terrorists may be hiding in the area.
The encounter came a day after police said that prime suspect of Ahmedabad serial blasts Abu Basher had identified the house in Jamia Nagar where he along with Delhi serial blasts mastermind Md Subhan Qureshi had taken shelter.
Basher was brought to Delhi on Thursday from Ahmedabad for questioning after the last week's serial blasts in Delhi that claimed 24 lives.
Indian Mujahideen, a shadow outfit of SIMI and Lashkar-e-Taiba has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil and Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dixit were briefed by Delhi police about the encounter.
Delhi Police spokesman Rajan Bhagat said a large cache of weapons has been found in the house.
