Pakistan-India-Blast evidences
India is ready to present evidences at the right time and place on its claim Pakistan had a hand in the July 11 Mumbai blasts.
Pakistan may have rejected India's claim of a hand in the 7/11 Mumbai blasts but they will now get evidence to prove it, says India's new foreign secretary here Sunday.
The foreign secretary will put its proof on the table when he meets his Pakistani counterpart in Delhi next month.
"We will see what Pakistan does about the evidence and see what their reaction is," said Menon.
The statement comes a day after Mumbai Police Commissioner A N Roy said that Pakistan's ISI had a hand in the serial blasts.
The Mumbai police commissioner had revealed at a news conference on Saturday that Pakistan was involved in the multiple blasts on Mumbai's suburban train network in July this year.
Many analysts and even the main opposition party, the BJP, have called the new joint anti-terror mechanism as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's biggest foreign policy gamble so these are tough words by India's top diplomat.
"Success or failure of this mechanism will depend on what action Pakistan will take," he further said.
Although the Indo-Pak equation is not the only issue worrying the foreign policy establishment, the Indo-US nuclear deal is now stuck at the US Senate.
Late Saturday night Democrat Senators put a new set of riders on that legislation to allow nuclear trade with India.
The worry now is that it could be a potential deal breaker as the US Congress goes to mid-term elections in November.
"The Indo-US deal enjoys bipartisan support and will go through Congress. We have made this clear on previous occasions as well," said Menon.
