A Lebanese man wanted for his alleged role in last month's failed bombing of two regional trains in Germany, has surrendered to police in Lebanon, German Federal Prosecutors announced in Karlsruhe on Thursday.
The 19-year-old suspect, Jihad Hamed was arrested in the Lebanese port city of Tripolis, news reports said.
Germany is reportedly seeking his extradition from Lebanon after an arrest warrant was issued on Wednesday.
Jihad Hamed was living in Cologne until late July.
The first suspect - 21-year-old Lebanese student Youssef Mohamad E.H - was arrested early Saturday morning at a railway station in the northern city of Kiel.
Both Lebanese men are accused of trying to blow up two trains in Dortmund and Koblenz on July 31.
Fingerprints and DNA evidence led to the arrest of the prime suspect following information by Lebanon's secret service, German authorities said earlier.
The suspects were filmed by security cameras in the Cologne train station as they carried the suitcase bombs aboard the trains.
Police said the bombs failed to explode because of a construction error by the bomb maker.
The bombs were supposed to explode simultaneously 10 minutes before the arrival of the trains at their final point of destination.
