Lockheed Martin Wins Role On DHS EAGLE Contract Vehicle

Company to Perform Work in Three Functional Areas

Bethesda, MD, June 30th, 2006 -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT], the top provider of information technology to the Federal Government for more than a decade, has been selected by the Department of Homeland Security to compete in three areas for future task orders under the DHS EAGLE (Enterprise Acquisition Gateway Leading Edge Solutions) contracting vehicle. Numerous other companies were also selected to compete for EAGLE tasks throughout the seven-year contract period.

EAGLE is an indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract that consists of five functional areas of future information technology support for the Department. Lockheed Martin won the right to bid on work in all three of the areas for which it had submitted proposals. These included infrastructure engineering design, development, implementation and integration; operations and maintenance; and software development.

The department established EAGLE to satisfy the majority of information technology support services requirements for all of DHS. The contract period lasts five base years plus two options periods of one year each.
