New Video Threatens Terror Attacks

17 November 2005 -- Indonesian authorities have presented a videotape that they said shows a terrorist leader calling for attacks against the United States and other Western countries.

Police say the video was captured last week during raids on suspected Islamic militants, and it was first shown at Vice President Jusuf Kalla's residence on 16 November and later on television.

Local media reported that the tape showed the confessions of three suicide bombers before their attack on restaurants in Bali last month, which left more than 20 dead.

They were followed by a masked man believed to be Noordin Mohammad Top, a Malaysian accused of involvement in several bombings in Indonesia.

The man called for jihad, or "holy war," against the United States and "aides" of U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
