Somali-born Omar is suspected of being one of four bombers who tried to set off explosions on London public transport.
Police say Omar will appear before a judge in prison tomorrow, charged with attempted murder, conspiracy, and possession of explosives.
This is the first indictment of a key suspect in the London terror bombings.
Zambia today deported to Britain Haroon Aswat, who has been named in British media reports as the alleged mastermind behind the 7 July blasts that killed more than 50 people.
However, British police have not confirmed that he is wanted in connection with those attacks.
