MOSCOW AIRPORTS THROUGH ANTI-TERROR SAFETY CHECK
MOSCOW, March 4 (RIA Novosti) - The Federal Transport Inspection checked three Moscow airports for terror safety, two weeks ago. The results were made public today, announced Alexander Neradko, inspection chief.
Disguised ad hoc team inspectors were trying to penetrate the airports and liners bypassing passenger checks. They utterly failed at Vnukovo, and penetrated the guarded area in Sheremetyevo-but could not get on a plane. The inspectors were more luck in Domodedovo to penetrate the guarded area and two planes with dummies of baggage banned for transportation.
The check set Domodedovo bosses on their guard-they have made prompt allocations to enhance safety, and fired the officers who admitted the plainclothes inspectors. Other airports' negligent officers shared their fate, Mr. Neradko said to newsmen.
