NOVOSIBIRSK, March 2 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) is launching a joint terrorist organization database project expected to be joined by foreign security services, FSB Director Nikolai Patrushev told the conference of the security service leaders.

According to him, FSB has committed itself to drafting an agreement on information exchange and set the procedure for establishing and using the database.

"Setting up the database is graphic proof of the security service leader conference's evolution to a standing entity," Mr. Patrushev noted.

He also said that his service would start conducting joint multilateral operations with foreign security services. The FSB director mentioned the job done by his service and its foreign counterparts together in support of the Olympics 2004 in Greece.

"We have agreed on using this experience during the Winter Olympics in Italy and the ASEAN forum in South Korea slated for autumn 2005," Mr. Patrushev said, adding that many of the attendees had been provided information on the things "they had had no idea of".

International terrorism and the fight against are the issue, on which virtually all law enforcers are ready to cooperate, Mr. Patrushev noted, adding that "the degree of trust is not always sufficient".
