Media reports quoting unnamed U.S. government officials say there is renewed concern that British Airways and Air France flights to the United States could be terrorist targets.
The officials reportedly say their concern is based on new intelligence information on terrorist interest in flights from London to Washington and from Paris to Los Angeles.
The intelligence is said to be similar to information that prompted a wave of flight cancellations and delays during the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
The new intelligence has not prompted any cancellations or delay of flights, or any decision to raise the U.S. threat alert from its current Code Yellow "elevated" status to the Code Orange "high" alert level.
