Iran condemns terrorist attack in Riyadh

Tehran, Nov 9, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi on Sunday strongly condemned the terrorist attack against a residential compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Three explosions rocked al-Muhaya residential compound in Riyadh Saturday night killing at least five people and wounding more than 80 most of them children and women. A three-year old girl is among the dead. "Killing of innocent women and children in the fasting month of Ramadan runs counter to the Islamic values and the human ethics," he said. He called for the serious and collective steps to fight terrorism. Kharrazi extended sympathy with the Saudi government and nation and the families of victims of the bomb blast. He called for intensive efforts of the international community to combat terrorism. The Saudi government said that gunmen broke into the residential compound of about 200 houses and exchanged fire with security guards. They blew up explosive-laden vehicle. Four residential buildings were reduced completely to rubble. 215/212 End
