TITLE=BUSH TERRORISM (L)
INTRO: President Bush says it is only a matter of time before al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden and deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein are found. V-O-A's Paula Wolfson reports he spoke after talks at his Camp David retreat with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.
TEXT: Almost two years after the September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States, there is no sign of Osama bin Laden. Months after the fall of Baghdad, the search continues for Saddam Hussein.
President Bush makes clear he is confident the mystery surrounding the whereabouts of both men will be solved.
We are just on the hunt. We will find them. It is just a matter of time.
Pakistan has taken an active role in the search for Osama bin Laden and his followers. Mr. Bush noted some top aides to the al-Qaida leader have already been detained by Pakistani authorities.
Slowly but surely, we are dismantling the networks. And we will continue on the hunt, it doesn't matter how long it takes. It could take a day, it could take a month, it could take years.
He noted that Pakistan has captured more than 500 members of al-Qaida and Afghanistan's ousted Taliban regime. President Musharraf says the search is continuing in tribal areas of Pakistan along the Afghan border.
This is the first time that the Pakistan army and our armed forces have entered this region. And we are in the process of opening up this region.
President Musharraf cautioned he did not know if Osama bin Laden was in the remote area, though he said the likelihood he is crossing back and forth along the border is very good. (signed)
