Security Council strongly condemns recent terrorist bomb attack in Colombia13 February The United Nations Security Council today strongly condemned last weekend's bomb attack in Bogotá, Colombia, saying that it regards such acts, like any act of terrorism, as a threat to international peace and security.
In a unanimously adopted resolution, the Council urged all States, in accordance with their obligations under landmark resolution 1373 on terrorism, "to work together urgently and to cooperate with and provide support and assistance to the Colombian authorities in their efforts to find and bring to justice the perpetrators, organizers and sponsors of this terrorist attack."
The Council also voiced its "reinforced determination" to fight all forms of terrorism in accordance with its responsibilities under the UN Charter.
The resolution expressed the Council's deepest sympathy and condolences to the people and the Government of Colombia and to the victims of the 7 February bomb attack and their families.
