Still not Banned: Hizb ut-Tahrir and the Islamification of the West

Arrests on the weekend show the dangers of Hizb ut-Tahrir. A 16-year-old Danish girl is facing at least four years in prison after being charged with terrorism offences, local media report, citing the prosecutor’s office.

“The 16-year-old was, according to the indicted, far along in her preparations to bomb two schools. She is charged with having made preparations to make a bomb and for having planned a test explosion,” said public prosecutor Lise-Lotte Nilas.

The Danish girl began showing a great interest in Islam around autumn of 2015 and began posting about guns and jihad on social media. She was a member of the Facebook group for the Danish branch of Hizb ut-Tahrir, an Islamist movement that seeks to establish a worldwide caliphate. The group is banned in Russia and a host of other countries as a terrorist organization.

In America, amazingly they are not banned https://hizb-america.org, they run events and raise funds. In Australia they are also not banned http://www.hizb-australia.org . There is a petition to ban the group https://www.change.org/p/hizb-ut-tahrir-call-to-ban-group-in-australia .

The organization officially states: “Hizb ut-Tahrir is a political party whose ideology is Islam, so politics is its work and Islam is its ideology.” This belief is so strong that HT’s global site says, “Muslims in the United States are being dared, duped, and ultimately deceived into adopting voting in the kufr U.S. secular democracy/capitalism by the enemies of Islam…This is a satanic plan where elections are attempts to integrate Muslims.” The fact that participating in elections is a freedom, not obligatory action is not acknowledged by HT or HTA. Nonetheless, HTA is challenging the U.S. political system.

In addition to HTA’s anti-Western sentiments, the group is also ardently anti-Semitic and anti-Israel. One HT leaflet read ” one reading: “Jews are a people of slander. They are treacherous people who violate oaths and covenants. They lie and change words from the right places. They take the rights of the people unjustly, and kill the Prophets and the innocent.” According to John Pike of GlobalSecurity.org their final goal is to establish a global caliphate under Shariah law and impose the Islamic way of life worldwide
