Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko met with Secretary of the U.S. Army, Daniel P. Driscoll, who is on an official visit to Ukraine.
"I am pleased to welcome Hon. Daniel P. Driscoll on his first visit to Ukraine. This visit provides an important opportunity for the senior military officials accompanying the Secretary to assess the situation on the ground and to witness firsthand the consequences of russian aggression.," Yulia Svyrydenko said.
The Prime Minister stressed that at a time when russia continues to kill peaceful Ukrainians and target residential buildings and critical infrastructure with missiles, the strategy of putting pressure on the aggressor state proves effective.
"It is crucial to further strengthen sanctions against the aggressor state to deter it from waging aggressive war," the Head of Government urged.
Separately, Yulia Svyrydenko reaffirmed that the U.S.- Ukraine Investment Fund for Reconstruction, initiated by President Trump, is being successfully implemented.
