Russian Military Obliterates Encircled Ukrainian Groups in Kupyansk, Pokrovsk - MoD

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian forces continue to destroy encircled Ukrainian military groups in Kupyansk in the Kharkov Region, and in Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People's Republic, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.
"The destruction of encircled enemy groups in Kupyansk and Krasnoarmeysk continues," the ministry said in a statement.
Russian troops eliminated more than 60 Ukrainian soldiers in Krasnoarmeysk over the past day, the ministry added.
"In Kupyansk, Ukrainian forces made four attempts to break out of the encirclement to the right bank of the Oskol River using destroyed crossings near Petrovka, but were thwarted. As a result of artillery and drone fire, up to 50 Ukrainian armed forces personnel and six pieces of military equipment, including two Humvees, were destroyed," the statement read.
