During a meeting in Washington, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko thanked U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent for supporting productive bilateral cooperation.
"Our dialogue with American partners is advancing dynamically. The U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund has begun its operations — an important milestone in expanding strategic economic cooperation between our countries. A few procedural decisions remain for its full-scale launch, but the first pipeline of priority projects is already forming. We are focusing on critical minerals, energy, and infrastructure, as Ukraine continues to demonstrate that it is a reliable partner for ambitious U.S.-Ukrainian investment," said Yulia Svyrydenko.
The parties also discussed cooperation aimed to ensure Europe's energy security.
"russia must be deprived of every lever of influence over our partners and every remaining source of revenue that sustains its war. Ukraine has presented clear proposals for achieving this together with our allies — with European and transatlantic unity at the core," emphasized the Head of the Ukrainian Government.
During the meeting, the interlocutors paid special attention to the sanctions policy against russia. "I appreciate Secretary Bessent's commitment to working closely with G7 partners to intensify pressure on the aggressor and to block all channels that continue to finance russia's war through its oil trade," the Prime Minister noted.
