Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "Important bilateral meeting with Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Johann Wadephul. We are grateful for Germany's consistent military, financial, and humanitarian contributions, which strengthen Ukraine's resilience and safeguard Europe's collective security. We discussed a wide range of topics within our bilateral and transatlantic agenda. We coordinated next steps to further strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities, in particular Germany's active role in the PURL initiative, both as a contributor and an advocate in Europe. We agreed on further political consultations at the highest level. We touched upon the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and Russia's reckless actions, which create a critical risk of a nuclear incident. I thanked Minister Wadephul for Germany's decision to allocate €9 billion in its federal budget for military assistance to Ukraine. Johann's personal efforts are very important for Ukraine's accession to the EU on the path to a just and lasting peace and security guarantees for Ukraine."
