SSU detains enemy agent in AFU who warned ruscists about Defence Forces drone attacks

With the assistance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service exposed the FSB's infiltration of the AFU unmanned systems unit.

As a result of the operation, a mobilized serviceman has been detained. While serving in a strike UAV company on the eastern front, he was spying for the enemy.

The investigation established that the agent had been leaking information to the russians about the preparation of Ukrainian drone operations on the front line. This included the time, directions of flights, and approximate targets of Ukrainian drones.

The traitor also passed information to the occupiers on permanent deployment points and combat positions of his brigade.

The occupiers used this intelligence to launch preventive strikes against Ukrainian drone operators using long-range artillery and aerial bombs.

At the time of the enemy attacks, the agent received advance information from the FSB to leave the area of potential danger.

The SSU detained the mole as he was preparing to pass on a new portion of intelligence to the enemy.

Action was taken to protect the locations of the Defence Forces.

According to the investigation, the perpetrator is a 26-year-old resident of Kropyvnytskyi. After joining the unmanned systems unit, he began looking for ways to approach russian special services on Telegram. He was subsequently recruited by russia's federal security service and was offered cooperation in exchange for money.

SSU investigators notified him of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The special operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kirovohrad region under the procedural supervision of Kropyvnytskyi Specialized Prosecutor's Office for the Southern Region.
