A number of resistance groups have condemned Israel's recent cowardly aggression in the Syrian town of Beit Jinn and hailed the residents' "heroic ambush," which inflicted casualties on enemy soldiers.
At least 13 Syrian people, including five from one family, were killed and more than two dozen others were injured in Israeli strikes on Beit Jinn in the Damascus suburbs.
The casualties took place in a Thursday night Israeli attack by helicopters and drones on Beit Jinn after Israeli forces entered the town and were surrounded by local residents, prompting the outbreak of gunfire and confrontations.
Having been engaged in a two-hour fierce exchange of fire, the Israeli soldiers were forced to withdraw from Beit Jinn and reposition on the hill of Butt al-Warda on the outskirts of the town.
Israeli media acknowledged that six of the regime's forces were wounded in the armed clashes, including three seriously.
The Popular Resistance Committees in Palestine lauded the residents' resistance, calling it a powerful "security slap" to the aggressors and a clear message against occupation. They emphasized that the targeting of innocents, including children, reveals the true nature of the Israeli regime as a threat to the entire region.
The Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) praised the "heroic operation" as a restoration of national dignity and reiterated the need for a unified front to support the resistance across the Levant.
Similarly, the Islamic Jihad Movement condemned the aggression, calling the occupation the root of regional instability, while commending the bravery of Beit Jinn's defenders.
Hamas denounced the Israeli aggression as part of a broader "policy of chaos," calling for immediate international intervention to halt these violations of law.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine described the aggression as part of ongoing crimes against the region and affirmed the sacred right to resistance.
The Islamic Group in Lebanon rejects Israeli accusations linking the group to activities in Beit Jinn.
The Group affirms that it operates exclusively within Lebanon and adheres strictly to the Lebanese ceasefire agreement with the occupation and condemns the Israeli aggression on Beit Jinn.
The political bureau of Yemen's Ansarullah resistance movement also condemns the Zionist aggression against civilians in Beit Jinn.
Ansarullah stated that the aggression is a flagrant violation of Syria's sovereignty and an expansion of the occupation.
These statements reflect a united front among various resistance factions in the region, reinforcing their commitment to opposing Israeli occupation and aggression.
The Israeli media declined to provide further details of the aggression on Beit Jinn, which has been witnessing a surge in the displacement of locals and movement towards neighboring villages following Israel's frequent acts of aggression.
Syria has condemned the repeated Israeli incursions as a violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and UN resolutions and called on the international community to enforce compliance and ensure the occupying entity withdraws fully and adheres to the agreement.
Israel has conducted repeated acts of aggression across the Syrian territory following the collapse of Assad's government last year. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered his forces to push deeper into Syrian territory and seize several strategic locations.
