
Solemn closing ceremony of the Indra 2025 Russian-Indian drills take place in India

The closing ceremony of the Indra 2025 joint Russian-Indian exercise was held at the Mahajan training ground in the Indian state of Rajastan. The event was attended by the head of the exercise from the Russian side, Major General Andrey Kozlov, from the Indian side, Commander of the Gandiv Division Major General Sanjay Chandra Kandpal, as well as the personnel of the two countries.
Major General Sanjay Chandra Kandpal, Commander of the Gandiv Division, noted that the exercises became a serious step to further development of partnership between India and Russia as well as a powerful demonstration of the common commitment to global peace and security.
The day before, the final stage of the exercise took place at the Mahajan training ground, during which the military personnel of the two countries completed a set of tasks, including fire suppression of the enemy, the actions of assault groups in urban areas, as well as the rescue of hostages and the evacuation of the wounded. Particular attention was paid to the coordination of actions between Russian and Indian units in neutralising mock terrorists.
After the closing ceremony of the exercise, Russian and Indian servicemen exchanged commemorative souvenirs.
The Indra 2025 joint Russian-Indian exercise, held from 3 to 15 October in India, was aimed at improving cooperation in the fight against international terrorism and increasing the level of interoperability between units of the two countries. The Russian Federation was represented at the exercise by units of the Eastern Military District.
