Indra 2025: servicemen of two countries undergo practical exercises
09 October 2025 02:32
As part of the Indra 2025 joint Russian-Indian exercise, soldiers had drills at the Mahajan training ground in the Indian state of Rajasthan to run through an obstacle course and train tactical firing.
The classes took place in conditions of high temperatures characteristic of the region. At the firing line, the servicemen carried out combat firing from various positions: prone position and sitting behind shelters with a change of firing positions. The strikes were aimed at dynamic targets simulating a mock enemy.
While passing the assault obstacle course, the servicemen had to consistently overcome more than ten obstacles. During the training, the Indian servicemen demonstrated how to overcome the most difficult areas of the course.
The drills allowed Russian servicemen not only to practise special skills in difficult climatic conditions, but also to share their experience with Indian partners.
The Indra 2025 joint Russian-Indian exercise will last until 15 October this year. Its main purpose is to improve the interaction between the units of the two countries in the fight against international terrorism, including improving counter-terrorism tactics. Particular attention will be paid to increasing interoperability of units and sharing best practices in combat operations in modern conditions.
Servicemen of the Eastern Military District take part in the exercise from the Russian side.
