Iran to take legal action with Iraqi court against Saddam soon

Tehran, July 10, IRNA -- General Prosecutor Ayatollah Abdolnabi Namazi said on Saturday that Iran would apply the international law to take legal action against Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. He challenged the current Iraqi court, examining the charges against Saddam, for misleading public opinion and being influenced by the US occupation force. Namazi said that his office would forward to the Iraqi court an indictment against the Iraqi dictator which will include the crimes and violations Saddam Hussein perpetrated against Iranian nation. He said that the Iranian Judiciary is at the same time examining the jurisdiction of the Iraqi court to lodge the complaint against Saddam Hussein. 1416/2322/1432
