TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) agreed to take seven more concrete measures in line with the joint statement signed between the two sides on early November.

'Useful technical sessions were held on framework of cooperation agreed by both sides during talks held over last two days,' Iran's envoy to the IAEA Reza Najafi told ISNA.

'We reviewed six topics and Iran has taken the initial steps which included 6 articles,' he added.

The Iranian official further added that both sides reached an agreement on the seven other practical steps to be taken by May 15.

Najafi continued that details of the seven steps will be released soon.

Meantime, Spokesman of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi said that inspection of Parchin nuclear site is not among the 7 measures agreed by Iran and the IAEA.

A visiting IAEA delegation stepped in Tehran on Saturday to begin talks with Iranian officials. The delegation was led by IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Safeguards Tero Varjoranta.

The negotiations were in line with a joint statement signed by the two sides on November 11 in Tehran.

Based on the statement, Iran has agreed with the agency's inspection of Gachin Mine in Bandar Abbas Port in southern Iran and Arak heavy water Reactor located in central Iran. It also agreed to provide information required by the IAEA in four other cases.

The first three-month period of cooperation between Iran and the agency ended on February 9.
