IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Tehran, August 19, IRNA -- Senior Iranian lawmaker said on Thursday that if military threats to Iran were materialized, the nation’s counter-attacks will spread to other regions.
Mohammad Karamirad was referring to the remarks made by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday night.
Karamirad, who is member of Parliamentary Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy, said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is the front-runner in the global campaign against imperialism which has widespread supporters across the world.
He underlined that Islamic Republic of Iran is not the same as Iraq and Afghanistan, adding several countries’ destiny are interrelated to Iran.
“Iranian nation defeated Saddam’s regime who had fully access to state-of-the-art military equipment and the western governments should learn from others misfortunes,” Karamirad said.
He added the US and Israel will never dare target Iran, and that they should be aware that the Muslim fighters will thwart such a threat.
