Biography-Pour Mohammadi
Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi who has been nominated for the the post of interior minister, was born in 1959 in Qom.
He finished his theological studies at Qom, Mashhad and Tehran.
Pour-Mohammadi served as Islamic Revolution prosecutor of Khuzestan, Bandar Abbas, Kermanshah and Mashhad (1979-1986), prosecutor of armed forces in western regions (1986) and head of foreign information (1990-1999).
He then served as advisor and head of political and social group of the Office of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (since 2003), acting deputy minister of information (1997-1999) and member and head of the Board of Trustees of Center for Islamic Revolution Documents.
