1 - The IISS Military Balance lists the 2S5 as being "reported" to be in Uzbekistan's inventory. The 2S5 is simply an 152mm howitzer on an open mount on a tracked chassis. As the Soviet Union collapsed, 2,000 tanks, 1,200 armored fighting vehicles, and 750 artillery pieces were reported to have been transferred to open storage in Uzbekistan. It is possible that the vehicles in question are not technically 2S5s, but a similar locally fabricated combination.
