The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has strongly rejected Israeli allegations that it has withdrawn from the Gaza ceasefire agreement as "sheer lies" manufactured by the regime's propaganda apparatus.
During an interview on Saturday, senior Hamas official Moussa Mohammed Abu Marzouk said the resistance movement is focused solely on ensuring the proper implementation of the ceasefire and halting Israel's genocidal assault on Gaza.
He emphasized that any claims suggesting Hamas is violating the ceasefire or planning to abandon it are "sheer lies," deliberately spread by the regime to justify the ongoing atrocities it commits across the Strip.
Similar statements were made by Izzat al-Risheq, a member of the Hamas political bureau, after Israel killed 24 Palestinians in attacks on Saturday, falsely claiming the strikes followed an alleged assault by a Hamas fighter on Israeli soldiers within Gaza's so-called yellow line.
"Israel is fabricating pretexts to evade the agreement and return to its war of annihilation, while it is the party violating the agreement daily and systematically," al-Risheq said.
The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, which took effect on October 10, required the occupying regime to immediately halt its genocidal war on Gaza and allow the entry of aid and food into the besieged territory in exchange for the return of its captives.
However, according to the Gaza Government Media Office, Israel has breached the ceasefire agreement at least 497 times since October 10, killing at least 342 civilians in the process, with children, women, and the elderly accounting for the majority of the victims.
Furthermore, the occupying regime continues to severely restrict the full and free flow of desperately needed aid and medical supplies into the devastated region.
"We condemn in the strongest terms the continued serious and systematic violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Israeli occupation authorities," the Office said in a statement on Saturday.
The Office further stated that Israel bears full responsibility for the humanitarian and security consequences of its violations.
Since launching its genocidal assault on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the regime has killed at least 69,500 Palestinians and wounded at least 179,000, most of them women and children.
