The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the dangerous escalation of crimes and terrorism perpetrated by extremist settlers in the occupied West Bank, including East Al-Quds, targeting Palestinian citizens, their property, their land, and holy sites.
The General Secretariat affirmed that these attacks, incitement, and organized terrorism carried out by extremist settler militias are perpetrated under the protection and encouragement of the Israeli occupation forces, in flagrant violation of international law, relevant UN resolutions, and the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice.
The OIC General Secretariat further emphasized that this escalating terrorism is an extension of the settlement, annexation, forced displacement, ethnic cleansing, and genocide schemes being perpetrated by the Israeli occupation throughout the occupied Palestinian territory, with the aim of undermining any opportunity for achieving a two-state solution.
The General Secretariat of the Organization reiterated its call to the international community, and especially the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and take the necessary measures to stop these attacks and terrorist crimes, provide international protection for the Palestinian people, and hold the perpetrators of these crimes accountable under international criminal law.
