Tehran, IRNA -- The Palestinian resistance group Hamas has once again urged ceasefire mediators, including the United States, to intervene amid the continued deadly Israeli strikes in violation of the truce deal.

In a statement on Saturday, Hamas stressed that the serious breaches of the Gaza ceasefire by Israeli forces have increased the responsibilities of mediators to stop the occupying regime's attempts to undermine the agreement.

It said the Israeli military is violating the so-called Yellow Line on a daily basis and advancing westward inside the Strip, which has led to a new wave of mass displacement.

"These actions, simultaneously with airstrikes and artillery shelling on eastern Gaza, clearly violate the provisions of the ceasefire agreement," said the statement, adding that "hundreds more Palestinians are killed as a result of strikes conducted under fabricated pretexts."

Expressing its firm opposition to any attempt by the Netanyahu regime to impose a new reality that contradicts the understandings reached, Hamas called on the mediators, especially the US administration, to adhere to its commitments and force the occupying regime to implement its obligations.

According to the Gaza Media Office, there were some 400 documented ceasefire violations in Gaza since it went into effect in October. A new wave of Israeli attacks over the past couple of days has killed more than two dozen people.
