Iran strongly condemns ongoing Israeli attacks on defenseless Gazans

Tehran, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has categorically condemned the Israeli regime's unrelenting airstrikes on various areas in the south, center, and north of the Gaza Strip.
The attacks, which targeted the tents of displaced Palestinians, have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of civilians, including a significant number of innocent children, Baqaei said on Thursday.
Referring to the regime's record of grossly violating all legal and ethical norms, he said that the attacks over the past 24 hours against the defenseless people of Gaza are occurring under the direct order of the regime's prime minister and constitute a clear violation of the ceasefire.
He described this as another indication of the regime's intent to continue its genocidal operations against the Palestinians.
The official emphasized that this situation doubles the responsibility of all governments, under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, to stop the crimes of this regime and to ensure the punishment of its criminals.
Baqaei also highlighted the continuous and severe violations of human rights and international humanitarian law in occupied Palestine, which occur under the all-out support of the United States.
He stressed the special responsibility of the ceasefire guarantors to curb the warmongering and genocide of the Israeli regime.
