CACI and ActioNet Joint Venture Awarded $330 Million U.S. Navy Systems Engineering Contract
eVenture Technologies, LLC to Support Navy-wide Information Systems
Arlington, VA, January 30, 2007 - CACI International Inc (NYSE:CAI) and ActioNet, Inc. announced today that a joint venture the companies have formed, called eVenture Technologies, LLC, has been awarded a five-year, estimated $330 million Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) services contract to support the U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center New Orleans (SSC NOLA). The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract is a small business set-aside. The joint venture is a first for both companies. ActioNet is an 8(a) woman-owned business that is a protégé to CACI under the Small Business Administration's Mentor-Protégé program. The work will be performed mostly at SSC NOLA locations, where eVenture will provide technical support for Navy-wide information systems such as the manpower and human resources systems that serve all Navy personnel.
eVenture solutions will build on CACI's experience as an incumbent subcontractor on the predecessor contract, along with ActioNet's technical expertise. Moreover, eVenture will leverage CACI and ActioNet credentials to exceed the client's critical requirement for software processes rated at CMMI® (Capability Maturity Model Integration) Level 2, which assures quality software development. In this area, CACI and ActioNet have even greater credentials — having not only been rated at the higher CMMI Level 3 but having also achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification for quality management.
For SSC NOLA, eVenture will provide systems engineering and technical support for the development, maintenance, integration, and security of systems that include hundreds of legacy manpower and personnel networks, applications, and databases. Such systems help the Navy determine force allocations for ship and shore locations and provide enlisted personnel with payroll, benefits, promotion, and other work-life information.
According to Ashley W. Chen, ActioNet, Inc. President and CEO, "The CACI-ActioNet eVenture team is structured for quick response and outstanding results. CACI, our mentor company, is a well-known information technology leader with significant experience and reachback to support U.S. Navy needs. ActioNet, the lead small business partner and protégé company, is a dynamic and fast-growing small business with outstanding technical qualifications."
CACI President of U.S. Operations Paul Cofoni said, "The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center New Orleans is one of the U.S. Navy's premier software development centers, and we are thrilled it has selected our CACI-ActioNet team, eVenture, to continue the center's important work. eVenture is exclusively dedicated to supporting this client, and offers a powerful combination of technical excellence and customer familiarity to ensure that projects are completed effectively and on time. We are proud to help sustain a high quality of life for our Navy personnel around the world."
Dr. J.P. (Jack) London, CACI Chairman, President, and CEO, said, "CACI continually seeks productive and innovative ways to serve our clients and their vital missions. eVenture Technologies, our joint venture with ActioNet, represents a good example of this dedicated support. ActioNet is an excellent fit with CACI, and shares our own emphasis on client-focused solutions. Together through eVenture, we will help the Navy support the needs of our warfighters' families and careers while improving their ability to serve our nation's defense."
