In 2007, as part of the reorganization and redesignation of the 16th Corps Support Group as the 16th Sustainment Brigade and its subsequent realignment under 21st Theater Sustainment Command, US Army Europe (USAEUR), the 485th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion was inactivated.
The 485th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion mission was to task, organize, deploy, and provide tailored combat service support to V Corps units in divisional or Corps areas of operations. The Battalion was one of 2 assigned to the 16th Corps Support Group, 3rd Corps Support Command and provided timely quality support to the V Corps. The mission of the 26th Quartermaster Supply Company, an element of the Battalion, was to receive, store and issue Classes II, III(P), IV, AND VII supplies to USAREUR V Corps non-divisional customers on an area basis and divisional customers as requested.
