334th Brigade Support Battalion
The mission of the 334th Brigade Support Battalion is to provide logistic support to the 2nd Brigade (Air Assault), 34th ID. This involves supporting between two to three thousand soldiers with all classes of supply. From food and water to ammunition, medical supplies and repair parts, the BSB is the organization tasked with providing and/or hauling those supplies.
The Brigade Support Battalion is comprised of three company sized units and a command and control headquarters. Company A is a supply unit that provides fuel, food and transportation assets to the 2nd Brigade elements. Some of the equipment that Company A uses includes; 5,000 gallon fuel tankers, water tankers and 5 ton trucks. Company B is a maintenance company that provides maintenance support for equipment in 2nd Brigade. Company B's equipment includes 10 ton wreckers. Company C is a medical company that provides medical treatment to the soldiers in 2nd Brigade. Their equipment includes wheeled and armored tracked ambulances, medical equipment to include X-ray, Lab and Dental treatment and a 40 person hospital/treatment center.
Additionally there are three forward support companies designated to assist various units in the division.
