Yemen's Interior Ministry says a spy network operated jointly by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Israel's Mossad intelligence agency, and Saudi Arabia's General Intelligence Presidency has been dismantled.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the ministry announced that the special security operation, codenamed "Their Schemes Will Fail," was executed after meticulous investigations, along with intensive surveillance and monitoring that exposed the adversaries' plots and their interconnections.
The statement revealed that the spy network's joint operations room was located in Saudi Arabia, from where it orchestrated sabotage and espionage activities targeting Yemen.
The network had established multiple small, autonomous spy cells, each operating independently but all connected to the central command hub.
The espionage cells were supplied with sophisticated surveillance equipment and tools to spy on any facility required and provide the necessary coordinates and information.
The members of the spying network were trained on Saudi soil in intelligence gathering, report writing, and concealment methods by US, Israeli, and Saudi officers.
The spy cells collected sensitive information about vital Yemeni infrastructure, military and security installations, weapons manufacturing sites, as well as ballistic missile and drone launch sites used by the Yemeni Armed Forces against the Zionist entity.
They also conducted surveillance on high-profile political figures, military and security commanders, and their activities.
The network's cells were involved in the massacre of Yemeni civilians in several strikes launched by US and Israeli forces against homes, markets, and public places.
They provided the enemy with information and coordinates of some facilities, harming the interests of the Yemeni people and exacerbating their economic and living hardships.
