SAIC Wins Geospatial Research, Integration, Development and Support Contract

SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) announced today that it has won a contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide engineering services and geospatial support for the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center -- Topographic Engineering Center (ERDC-TEC).

The single award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, referred to as Geospatial Research, Integration, Development and Support (GRIDS), has a one-year base term with four one-year options and a total ceiling value of $250 million if the customer exercises all options.

SAIC's Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation Group and Intelligence and Security Group will support actionable intelligence and high-resolution geospatial information and geospatial intelligence technologies, systems, and products.

The SAIC GRIDS team will provide a broad range of services including sensor research and development; verification and validation, integration, and testing; support of geospatial systems; systems engineering; demonstrations and experimentation, including advanced concept technology demonstrations and joint capability technology demonstrations; and operational support across domains, including topographic engineering, military intelligence, battle command, modeling and simulation, and other operations.
