PLA Rocket Force 64 Base

People's Liberation Army sixty-fourth rocket base , located in Qinghai Province, Xining City , Gansu Province, Lanzhou City , is the People's Liberation Army rocket base.

On December 10, 1969, based on the original Wuwei Artillery School, some troops were deployed to form the 56th Base of the Second Artillery Corps of the Chinese People's Liberation Army . Moved to Qinghai Province in June 1976 . It is a military unit. Located in the Lanzhou Military Region of the Chinese People's Liberation Army [1] . In 2016, in the deepening of national defense and military reform , it was changed to the 56th base of the People's Liberation Army Rocket Army (ie 96351 troops).

In this adjustment of military units, based on the 56th base of the People's Liberation Army Rocket Army, the 64th base of the People's Liberation Army Rocket Army was reorganized and located in Xining City, Qinghai Province, and Lanzhou City , Gansu Province.

Before deepening national defense and army reform in 2016, the 56th Base of the Second Artillery Corps of the People's Liberation Army under the jurisdiction of the 809th Brigade (equipped with Dongfeng-21A medium-range ballistic missiles ) and the 812th Brigade (equipped with Dongfeng-31A intercontinental ballistic Missiles ), the eighth, two, and three brigades (equipped with Dongfeng-21C medium-range ballistic missiles ).

Faced with the severe test of nature, generations of plateau rocket soldiers have been storming through the wind and writing the heroic song of Wei Guoshu in the restricted area of ??life, and have never stopped the pace of "oxygen search". To solve the problem of oxygen supply is to improve the combat effectiveness of the troops, and to solve the "oxygen supply bottleneck" is not only imperative but urgent. Nowadays, a new type of "vehicle oxygen-increasing device" has been successfully developed at a base of the Second Artillery Corps. It not only solves the problem of timely oxygen supply for personnel and equipment during the rapid movement of the troops, but also makes it quiet and safe.
