Taiwan, China sign four pacts on direct transport, postal links

Taipei, Nov. 4 (CNA) Top negotiators of Taiwan and China sealed four agreements Tuesday in Taipei at the conclusion of their second round of talks since cross-strait dialogue was resumed five months ago.
The agreements, signed by Taipei-based Straits Exchange Foundation Chairman Chiang Pin-kung and Beijing-based Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits President Chen Yunlin, covered the expansion of air links, the launch of direct cross-strait shipping and postal services and the establishment of a reporting mechanism for food safety issues.
