On December 1, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Vershinin met with Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Russia Khaled Abdullah Shawabkeh, following a request from the Ambassador.
During the discussion, the parties engaged in a comprehensive exchange of views on critical aspects of the Middle Eastern agenda, with particular emphasis on efforts - including those undertaken within specialised international platforms - to ensure a sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Further issues pertaining to the ongoing enhancement of the traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Jordan were also addressed.
